In the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle, perfectly positioned on the corner of Second and Blanchard is The Crocodile. A historic and landmark music and performing venue that has played host to some of music’s most acclaimed names, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, The Beastie Boys, Cheap Trick and R.E.M to name a few.
The Crocodile opened in the spring 1991 and quickly developed a reputation for nurturing artists and helping them gain exposure which for many would later lead to national recognition. Ever heard of Modest Mouse? They began playing at The Crocodile, as well as local band Death Cab for Cutie. The Crocodile’s atmosphere is fun and intimate, it’s a place where friends or fellow music enthusiasts can go and enjoy an evening of great music or an entertaining destination for a date. Newly remodeled in 2009 The Crocodile is a must see venue that is better than ever, with a sound system that is said to be fantastic. For those who like to enjoy a beverage or two you’re in luck, there is the Back Bar along with wood fire pizzas from Via Tribunali for your savory indulgence.
